Divorce and co-parenting has become a way of life in many families over the past decade. Children frequently shuttle from mother’s house to father’s house on a weekly basis. Over time the families grow to include new spouses and sometimes more children. When divorced spouses become confident parents and establish stable relationships with other partners, their ability to effectively communicate with each other improves. Improved communication creates a secure and stable environment for their children too. Perhaps “Co-Parenting,” when it is effective, should be called something else like “Significant-Ex”?
